Package netcdf7-4.1.3-12

The netCDF (network Common Data Form) library defines a machine-independent format for representing scientific data. Together, the interface, library, and format support the creation, access, and sharing of scientific data. This package provides libraries, documentation and examples for interfacing with C and C++ code. For libraries, documentation and examples for interfacing with Fortran 77 (and Fortran 90) code install the `netcdf7-gfortran' packages. It also includes the LibCF library.

Packages building against this one must find the headers in /sw/opt/netcdf7/include, and the libs in /sw/opt/netcdf7/lib, e.g. via ConfigureParams, *FLAGS variables, setting PKG_CONFIG_PATH, using /sw/bin/nc-config, or explicit patching. It is recommended that packages which build against netcdf7 should have versioned dependencies on (netcdf7 >= 4.1.3-10) since prior versions didn't enforce rebuilding when HDF5 is updated, and this appears to be necessary.
